browserless-automation
Helps your agent automate tasks without using a full browser. Useful for quick web interactions. Allows the agent to perform online actions in a lightweight and agile way.
What it does
This tool lets you automate browser tasks without needing a graphical interface. It uses a system called Rube MCP to find and execute the necessary actions.
When to use it
- ✓When you need to automatically extract information from a website.
- ✓To fill out forms on websites without manual intervention.
- ✓To test website functionalities in a programmed way.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Extract all news headlines from the BBC News website.”

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
First, the tool searches for available actions for the desired task. Then, it checks if the connection to the Browserless service is active. Finally, it executes the found action using the correct data.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

Browserless Automation via Rube MCP
Automate Browserless operations through Composio's Browserless toolkit via Rube MCP.
Toolkit docs: composio.dev/toolkits/browserless
Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active Browserless connection via
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitbrowserless - Always call
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSfirst to get current tool schemas
Setup
Get Rube MCP: Add https://rube.app/mcp as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works.
- Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSresponds - Call
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitbrowserless - If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
- Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "Browserless operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
Core Workflow Pattern
Step 1: Discover Available Tools
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific Browserless task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
Step 2: Check Connection
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["browserless"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
Step 3: Execute Tools
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
Known Pitfalls
- Always search first: Tool schemas change. Never hardcode tool slugs or arguments without calling
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS - Check connection: Verify
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSshows ACTIVE status before executing tools - Schema compliance: Use exact field names and types from the search results
- Memory parameter: Always include
memoryinRUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOLcalls, even if empty ({}) - Session reuse: Reuse session IDs within a workflow. Generate new ones for new workflows
- Pagination: Check responses for pagination tokens and continue fetching until complete

FAQ
What is Rube MCP?
It's a system that helps the AI find and use tools to perform tasks, like automating browser actions.
Do I need to install anything?
You need to set up Rube MCP in your AI client and ensure the Browserless connection is active. API keys are generally not needed.
Why should I always search for tools first?
Tools and their instructions (schemas) can change. Searching first ensures the AI uses the latest and correct information to perform the task.
