workiom-automation
Helps your agent automate Workiom tasks using MCP. It looks for the latest tools to ensure workflows work well.
What it does
This tool helps automate tasks in Workiom, a system for managing information and processes. It allows artificial intelligence to interact with Workiom to perform actions.
When to use it
- ✓When you need to add a lot of data to Workiom at once.
- ✓To automatically create or update tasks based on other information.
- ✓When you want the AI to find specific information within Workiom for you.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Automate the creation of new tasks in Workiom for the marketing team's projects.”

How it works
First, the AI checks what specific actions Workiom allows. Then, it connects to Workiom and performs the requested action, ensuring everything is done correctly.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills --skill workiom-automationOr download just the file:

Workiom Automation via Rube MCP
Automate Workiom operations through Composio's Workiom toolkit via Rube MCP.
Toolkit docs: composio.dev/toolkits/workiom
Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active Workiom connection via
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitworkiom - Always call
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSfirst to get current tool schemas
Setup
Get Rube MCP: Add https://rube.app/mcp as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works.
- Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSresponds - Call
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitworkiom - If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
- Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "Workiom operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
Core Workflow Pattern
Step 1: Discover Available Tools
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific Workiom task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
Step 2: Check Connection
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["workiom"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
Step 3: Execute Tools
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
Known Pitfalls
- Always search first: Tool schemas change. Never hardcode tool slugs or arguments without calling
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS - Check connection: Verify
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSshows ACTIVE status before executing tools - Schema compliance: Use exact field names and types from the search results
- Memory parameter: Always include
memoryinRUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOLcalls, even if empty ({}) - Session reuse: Reuse session IDs within a workflow. Generate new ones for new workflows
- Pagination: Check responses for pagination tokens and continue fetching until complete

FAQ
Do I need to install anything in Workiom?
You need to set up Rube MCP on your system and connect your Workiom account through it. You don't need to install anything directly in Workiom.
How does the AI know what to do?
The AI uses a command called `RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS` to discover the available functions in Workiom and how to use them, ensuring it always has the latest information.
What if the connection fails?
The tool checks if the connection to Workiom is active before performing any tasks. If not, it will provide a link to complete the setup.
