codacy-automation
Helps your agent automate tasks in Codacy using Composio. It always checks tools for the latest schemas.
What it does
This tool helps automate tasks within Codacy, a code analysis platform. It allows you to interact with Codacy programmatically.
When to use it
- ✓When you need to automatically check code quality.
- ✓To manage code analysis settings across multiple projects.
- ✓When integrating Codacy with other development tools.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Automate code quality checks on my project using Codacy.”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
The tool connects to Codacy via Rube MCP. It first searches for available tools and their current configurations. Then, it executes the desired tasks on Codacy.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills --skill codacy-automationOr download just the file:

Codacy Automation via Rube MCP
Automate Codacy operations through Composio's Codacy toolkit via Rube MCP.
Toolkit docs: composio.dev/toolkits/codacy
Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active Codacy connection via
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitcodacy - Always call
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSfirst to get current tool schemas
Setup
Get Rube MCP: Add https://rube.app/mcp as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works.
- Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSresponds - Call
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitcodacy - If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
- Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "Codacy operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
Core Workflow Pattern
Step 1: Discover Available Tools
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific Codacy task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
Step 2: Check Connection
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["codacy"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
Step 3: Execute Tools
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
Known Pitfalls
- Always search first: Tool schemas change. Never hardcode tool slugs or arguments without calling
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS - Check connection: Verify
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSshows ACTIVE status before executing tools - Schema compliance: Use exact field names and types from the search results
- Memory parameter: Always include
memoryinRUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOLcalls, even if empty ({}) - Session reuse: Reuse session IDs within a workflow. Generate new ones for new workflows
- Pagination: Check responses for pagination tokens and continue fetching until complete
Quick Reference
| Operation | Approach |
|---|---|
| Find tools | RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS with Codacy-specific use case |
| Connect | RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS with toolkit codacy |
| Execute | RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL with discovered tool slugs |
| Bulk ops | RUBE_REMOTE_WORKBENCH with run_composio_tool() |

FAQ
What is Rube MCP?
It's a system that allows AI to interact with other tools, like Codacy, in an automated way.
Do I need any special keys?
No API keys are needed. You just need to set up Rube MCP in your environment.
How do I know if the Codacy connection is working?
You can check the connection status using the `RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS` command. It should show 'ACTIVE' for everything to work.
