code-mate-opencode
Lets the agent analyze repositories and perform coding tasks. Use when you need the agent to examine or modify code in a project.
What it does
This AI agent helps analyze code and perform programming tasks. It can be used to inspect projects, compare coding tools, or delegate work to another tool called OpenCode.
When to use it
- ✓When you want to analyze a code project.
- ✓When you need to compare OpenCode with another coding tool.
- ✓When you want the AI to perform a specific coding task.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Analyze this project and tell me the main files.”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

How it works
It runs a program called OpenCode in the background. OpenCode analyzes your code and returns the requested information without you needing to interact with it directly.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add CherryHQ/cherry-studio --skill code-mate-opencodeOr download just the file:

OpenCode
Run
- Set the Bash working directory to the exact project the user named and set a finite timeout, normally 10 minutes.
- Check availability with
command -v opencode. If it is missing, stop and ask the user to install OpenCode in Code Mate. - Run one task and exit:
opencode run "<prompt>" --format json
Pass the prompt as one quoted argument. Parse stdout as a JSON event stream and treat an error event or nonzero exit as failure. Never start the interactive OpenCode UI or an authentication flow.
Authentication And Permissions
If OpenCode reports a missing provider or credentials, stop and ask the user to configure OpenCode in Code Mate. Never request, read, print, or copy credentials.
Headless mode denies permission prompts by default; keep that behavior for analysis. Only when the user explicitly requests workspace changes may the command enable the minimum tools needed. Do not add --auto merely to avoid a denied permission.
Example: ask OpenCode to inspect a failing test without editing, run the command above from that repository, and summarize the final content event and any tool errors.
FAQ
What is OpenCode?
OpenCode is a tool that helps analyze and work with programming code.
Do I need to install anything?
Yes, you need to have OpenCode installed for this agent to work.
Can the AI edit my code?
Generally no. It's designed to analyze and report information unless you explicitly ask for minimal, necessary changes.
