code-mate-qoder

Lets the agent perform coding tasks in a structured way. Use when you need the agent to complete a specific programming task and return the result in an organized manner.

What it does

This agent runs a tool called Qoder CN CLI to perform coding tasks. It takes a specific request and returns the result in a structured way, without interacting with you.

When to use it

  • ✓When you want the AI to execute a specific coding command.
  • ✓When you need a coding response in a format another program can understand.
  • ✓When you want the AI to work on a code project without asking for your help at each step.

Example of what to ask your AI

“Run the command 'qoderclicn -p "Write a test for function X" -o json --no-session-persistence' in the project directory.”

How to use

The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message

Use this skill to help me: https://github.com/CherryHQ/cherry-studio/blob/main/resources/code-cli-skills/code-mate-qoder/SKILL.md Read the SKILL.md file at that link and follow its instructions for my task.
How it works

It sets up the environment, checks if the Qoder tool is installed, and then runs a command with your instructions. It analyzes the response to ensure there were no errors.

Installation

Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.

In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

npx skills add CherryHQ/cherry-studio --skill code-mate-qoder

Or download just the file:

curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/CherryHQ/cherry-studio/main/resources/code-cli-skills/code-mate-qoder/SKILL.md -o SKILL.md

Qoder CN CLI

Run

  1. Set the Bash working directory to the exact project the user named and set a finite timeout, normally 10 minutes.
  2. Check availability with command -v qoderclicn. If it is missing, stop and ask the user to install Qoder CLI in Code Mate.
  3. Run one stateless task:
qoderclicn -p "<prompt>" -o json --no-session-persistence

Code Mate installs the CN executable qoderclicn, not qoder. Pass the prompt as one quoted argument. Parse the JSON response and check is_error; published exit-code behavior is incomplete, so a zero exit alone is not success. Never start the interactive UI or a login flow.

Authentication And Permissions

If Qoder reports missing authentication, trust, model, or provider configuration, stop and ask the user to configure Qoder CLI in Code Mate. Never request, read, print, or copy credentials.

Headless mode denies permissions that would require asking. Keep that default for analysis. Only when the user explicitly requests workspace changes may the command select the narrowest non-default permission mode, and only after the target directory is trusted through Code Mate.

Example: ask Qoder to review a named file without editing, run the command above, and accept the result only when is_error is false.

FAQ

What is Qoder CN CLI?

It is a command-line tool that helps automate coding tasks.

Why doesn't the agent ask me anything during execution?

It's designed to run on its own, without interruptions, focusing on well-defined tasks and returning the result in a structured format.

What happens if Qoder is not installed?

The agent will stop and ask you to install Qoder CLI in Code Mate.

Details

Original description by the author

Runs the Code Mate Qoder CN CLI non-interactively with structured output. Use when the user asks to delegate a bounded coding task to Qoder.
