composio-automation
Lets your agent automate tasks using Composio. It allows the agent to perform complex actions across different systems.
What it does
This tool helps automate tasks using Composio. It finds the right tools and runs them for you, making sure everything is set up correctly.
When to use it
- ✓When you need to perform a specific action in Composio.
- ✓When setting up or checking your Composio connection.
- ✓To discover what tools are available for your Composio tasks.
Example of what to ask your AI
“I want to automate creating a new project in Composio using tool X.”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
First, the tool looks for the latest instructions for Composio tasks. Then, it checks if your connection is active, and finally, it safely runs the desired task.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills --skill composio-automationOr download just the file:
curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills/master/composio-skills/composio-automation/SKILL.md -o SKILL.mdTechnical content (original SKILL.md)

Composio Automation via Rube MCP
Automate Composio operations through Composio's Composio toolkit via Rube MCP.
Toolkit docs: composio.dev/toolkits/composio
Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active Composio connection via
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitcomposio - Always call
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSfirst to get current tool schemas
Setup
Get Rube MCP: Add https://rube.app/mcp as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works.
- Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSresponds - Call
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitcomposio - If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
- Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "Composio operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
Core Workflow Pattern
Step 1: Discover Available Tools
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific Composio task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
Step 2: Check Connection
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["composio"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
Step 3: Execute Tools
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
Known Pitfalls
- Always search first: Tool schemas change. Never hardcode tool slugs or arguments without calling
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS - Check connection: Verify
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSshows ACTIVE status before executing tools - Schema compliance: Use exact field names and types from the search results
- Memory parameter: Always include
memoryinRUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOLcalls, even if empty ({}) - Session reuse: Reuse session IDs within a workflow. Generate new ones for new workflows
- Pagination: Check responses for pagination tokens and continue fetching until complete

FAQ
What is Rube MCP?
It's a system that allows AI to securely connect to and control other tools, like Composio.
Do I need API keys?
No, you just need to add a specific address in your program for it to connect.
Why do I need to search for tools before using them?
Tools can change. Searching ensures you're using the latest and correct instructions to avoid errors.
