enterprise-agent-ops

Lets your agent operate and monitor long-running AI systems. It manages lifecycle, safety, and updates, ensuring stability and control.

What it does

This tool helps manage and monitor AI systems that run continuously in the cloud. It allows you to start, stop, restart, and observe how these systems are working, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

When to use it

  • ✓When you need to monitor the performance of an AI system that is always running.
  • ✓If an AI system unexpectedly stops working and you need to investigate.
  • ✓When updating an AI system and wanting to ensure the new version works well before fully releasing it.

Example of what to ask your AI

“How can I check if my AI system is running correctly and how much it's costing?”

How to use

The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message

Use this skill to help me: https://github.com/affaan-m/ECC/blob/main/skills/enterprise-agent-ops/SKILL.md Read the SKILL.md file at that link and follow its instructions for my task.
How it works

It works by setting rules for how the system should operate, monitoring its performance, and logging all important actions. This allows you to know what's happening and intervene if something goes wrong.

Installation

Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.

In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

npx skills add affaan-m/ECC --skill enterprise-agent-ops

Or download just the file:

Enterprise Agent Ops

Use this skill for cloud-hosted or continuously running agent systems that need operational controls beyond single CLI sessions.

Operational Domains

  1. runtime lifecycle (start, pause, stop, restart)
  2. observability (logs, metrics, traces)
  3. safety controls (scopes, permissions, kill switches)
  4. change management (rollout, rollback, audit)

Baseline Controls

  • immutable deployment artifacts
  • least-privilege credentials
  • environment-level secret injection
  • hard timeout and retry budgets
  • audit log for high-risk actions

Metrics to Track

  • success rate
  • mean retries per task
  • time to recovery
  • cost per successful task
  • failure class distribution

Incident Pattern

When failure spikes:

  1. freeze new rollout
  2. capture representative traces
  3. isolate failing route
  4. patch with smallest safe change
  5. run regression + security checks
  6. resume gradually

Deployment Integrations

This skill pairs with:

  • PM2 workflows
  • systemd services
  • container orchestrators
  • CI/CD gates
FAQ

What does 'runtime lifecycle' mean?

It means being able to control when the AI system starts running, when it pauses, when it stops, and when it restarts.

What are 'safety controls'?

These are mechanisms to ensure the AI system can only do what it's allowed to and has 'kill switches' to stop it quickly in emergencies.

What is 'change management'?

It's the process of updating the AI system in a controlled way, allowing you to test new versions and roll back to the previous version if problems arise.
