jumpcloud-automation
Lets your agent automate tasks in Jumpcloud. It searches for the best tools to perform actions. It's useful for managing your systems efficiently.
What it does
This agent helps automate tasks in Jumpcloud, a system for managing users and devices in a company. It uses a tool called Rube MCP to do this.
When to use it
- ✓When you need to add or remove users from Jumpcloud.
- ✓When you need to manage devices connected to Jumpcloud.
- ✓When you want to automate account creation for new employees.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Create a new Jumpcloud user account for John Doe with the email john.doe@company.com.”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
First, the agent checks which Jumpcloud commands are available using RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS. Then, it ensures the connection to Jumpcloud is active. Finally, it executes the specific command you requested, using the information it found.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add ComposioHQ/awesome-claude-skills --skill jumpcloud-automationOr download just the file:

Jumpcloud Automation via Rube MCP
Automate Jumpcloud operations through Composio's Jumpcloud toolkit via Rube MCP.
Toolkit docs: composio.dev/toolkits/jumpcloud
Prerequisites
- Rube MCP must be connected (RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS available)
- Active Jumpcloud connection via
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitjumpcloud - Always call
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSfirst to get current tool schemas
Setup
Get Rube MCP: Add https://rube.app/mcp as an MCP server in your client configuration. No API keys needed — just add the endpoint and it works.
- Verify Rube MCP is available by confirming
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLSresponds - Call
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSwith toolkitjumpcloud - If connection is not ACTIVE, follow the returned auth link to complete setup
- Confirm connection status shows ACTIVE before running any workflows
Tool Discovery
Always discover available tools before executing workflows:
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "Jumpcloud operations", known_fields: ""}]
session: {generate_id: true}
This returns available tool slugs, input schemas, recommended execution plans, and known pitfalls.
Core Workflow Pattern
Step 1: Discover Available Tools
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS
queries: [{use_case: "your specific Jumpcloud task"}]
session: {id: "existing_session_id"}
Step 2: Check Connection
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONS
toolkits: ["jumpcloud"]
session_id: "your_session_id"
Step 3: Execute Tools
RUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOL
tools: [{
tool_slug: "TOOL_SLUG_FROM_SEARCH",
arguments: {/* schema-compliant args from search results */}
}]
memory: {}
session_id: "your_session_id"
Known Pitfalls
- Always search first: Tool schemas change. Never hardcode tool slugs or arguments without calling
RUBE_SEARCH_TOOLS - Check connection: Verify
RUBE_MANAGE_CONNECTIONSshows ACTIVE status before executing tools - Schema compliance: Use exact field names and types from the search results
- Memory parameter: Always include
memoryinRUBE_MULTI_EXECUTE_TOOLcalls, even if empty ({}) - Session reuse: Reuse session IDs within a workflow. Generate new ones for new workflows
- Pagination: Check responses for pagination tokens and continue fetching until complete
