webgl-halftone-drift

Helps your agent simulate a dot-print effect, creating an artistic look. It's good for giving images a retro or graphic design feel.

What it does

This code creates an artistic visual effect on your computer screen. It simulates a field of dots that moves and distorts as you move your mouse, giving an old print look.

When to use it

  • ✓To decorate your website with a unique look.
  • ✓To create an interesting background animation.
  • ✓To experiment with a digital art effect.

Example of what to ask your AI

How it works

It uses advanced graphics technology (WebGL2) that runs directly in the browser. When you move the mouse, the code adjusts the movement and shape of the dots to create the animation.

Installation

Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.

Halftone Drift

Produce a single self-contained index.html — A self-contained WebGL2 hero: a flowing field screened through a rotated halftone dot grid into a duotone print aesthetic; move the cursor to bend the drift.

Why this is a powered artifact

OpenDesign detects getContext('webgl2') / heavy WebGL and renders this file in powered preview (a cross-origin-isolated iframe). The full GPU + scroll pipeline runs; no opaque-sandbox workarounds are needed.
