webgl-liquid-iridescence

Helps your agent generate a shimmering, iridescent liquid effect. It's great for creating abstract, fluid visuals with vibrant colors.

What it does

This code creates a beautiful and dynamic animation that looks like oil on water, with bright colors and luminous filaments. You can interact with it by moving your mouse to change the animation's flow.

When to use it

  • ✓To decorate a website with an artistic look.
  • ✓To create an interesting animated background.
  • ✓To demonstrate an impressive visual effect.

Example of what to ask your AI

“Create an 'oil on water' animation with light effects.”

How it works

It uses a technology called WebGL2 to draw graphics directly in the browser. The animation reacts to your mouse movement, changing how light and colors appear on the screen.

Installation

Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.

In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

npx skills add nexu-io/open-design --skill webgl-liquid-iridescence

Or download just the file:

Liquid Iridescence

Produce a single self-contained index.html — A self-contained WebGL2 hero: a living oil-on-water field brightened into iridescent caustic filaments; move the cursor to bend the flow.

Why this is a powered artifact

OpenDesign detects getContext('webgl2') / heavy WebGL and renders this file in powered preview (a cross-origin-isolated iframe). The full GPU + scroll pipeline runs; no opaque-sandbox workarounds are needed.

FAQ

What is WebGL2?

It's a technology that allows for the creation of complex 2D and 3D graphics directly in your web browser, utilizing your graphics card's power.

What does 'self-contained' mean?

It means the code works on its own, without needing other external files or programs to run.

How does the mouse affect the animation?

When you move your mouse over the animation, it changes the direction and shape of the light 'filaments', as if you were stirring a puddle of oil.
