arm-templates
Helps your agent deploy Azure resources using ARM templates and Bicep.
What it does
This tool helps you create and manage cloud infrastructure (like servers and networks) using code. It allows you to describe what you need, and the tool automatically and repeatably builds it for you.
When to use it
- ✓When you need to create multiple identical environments (e.g., development, testing, production).
- ✓When you want to automate the creation of cloud resources.
- ✓When you need to ensure your infrastructure setup is always the same.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Create a virtual network with two subnets for a production environment.”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

How it works
You write code describing the resources you want (like networks, servers, etc.). The tool interprets this code and uses it to configure your cloud infrastructure.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

ARM Templates & Bicep
Deploy Azure infrastructure with ARM templates and Bicep. Bicep is the recommended domain-specific language that compiles to ARM JSON, offering cleaner syntax, modules, and first-class tooling support.
Prerequisites
# Install Azure CLI
curl -sL https://aka.ms/InstallAzureCLIDeb | sudo bash
# Install Bicep CLI (bundled with Azure CLI 2.20+)
az bicep install
az bicep upgrade
# Verify installation
az bicep version
# Login and set subscription
az login
az account set --subscription "my-subscription-id"

FAQ
What are ARM Templates and Bicep?
They are languages for describing cloud infrastructure. Bicep is a more modern and user-friendly version that generates ARM Templates.
Why use code for infrastructure?
To automate, ensure consistency, facilitate versioning and collaboration, and reduce manual errors.
Do I need to know how to program to use this?
Familiarity with programming concepts is helpful, but the tool is designed to be accessible, especially with Bicep, which has a simpler syntax.
