azure-identity-ts
Helps your agent connect to Azure services with TypeScript. It supports various authentication methods.
What it does
This tool helps computer programs securely connect to Microsoft Azure services. It allows your code to authenticate using different methods, like passwords, certificates, or even the credentials you already use to access Azure from your computer.
When to use it
- ✓When your program needs to access data or resources in Azure.
- ✓When setting up an application to run automatically on Microsoft's servers.
- ✓To allow a program to use its own identity to access Azure, instead of using your personal credentials.
Example of what to ask your AI
“How do I make my program connect to Azure using my Visual Studio Code credentials?”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

How it works
This tool tries various ways to prove the program's identity to Azure. It checks if you're logged into Azure CLI, if a certificate is configured, or if the program is running in an environment with its own identity.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills --skill azure-identity-tsOr download just the file:

FAQ
What is a 'Service Principal'?
It's a special identity for an application or service, like a user but for programs. It can have a password or a certificate to prove itself.
What is 'Managed Identity'?
It's a way for Azure to give an automatic identity to your services running in the cloud, without you needing to manage passwords or certificates.
What's the difference between 'Client Secret' and 'Client Certificate'?
'Client Secret' is like a password for the program, while 'Client Certificate' uses a digital certificate file to prove the program's identity.
