azure-mgmt-fabric-py

Lets your agent manage Microsoft Fabric capacities and resources using Python. It makes Fabric administration easier.

What it does

This code allows you to manage Microsoft Fabric resources, like creating, viewing, updating, pausing, or deleting capacities (Fabric's processing unit).

When to use it

  • ✓When you need to automate the creation of new Fabric capacities.
  • ✓To check the status or details of existing capacities.
  • ✓To pause or resume capacities and control costs.

Example of what to ask your AI

“Create a Fabric capacity named 'my-capacity' in the 'eastus' region with the 'F4' SKU and add 'user@example.com' as an administrator.”

How it works

It uses the 'azure-mgmt-fabric' library to connect to your Azure account. You provide your credentials, and then use specific commands to perform actions like creating or listing capacities.

Installation

Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.

In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

npx skills add sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills --skill azure-mgmt-fabric-py

Or download just the file:

            administration=FabricCapacityAdministration(
                members=["user@contoso.com"]
            )
        )
    )
).result()

print(f"Capacity created: {capacity.name}")

Get Capacity Details

capacity = client.fabric_capacities.get(
    resource_group_name=resource_group,
    capacity_name=capacity_name
)

print(f"Capacity: {capacity.name}")
print(f"SKU: {capacity.sku.name}")
print(f"State: {capacity.properties.state}")
print(f"Location: {capacity.location}")

List Capacities in Resource Group

capacities = client.fabric_capacities.list_by_resource_group(
