blue-green-deploy
Lets your agent configure zero-downtime software deployments. It implements strategies like blue-green and canary deployments.
What it does
This tool helps update your applications without users noticing. It allows you to smoothly switch from an old version to a new one, ensuring the service never stops.
When to use it
- ✓When releasing a new version of your website or application.
- ✓When you need to perform urgent maintenance without interrupting service.
- ✓To test a new version with a small group of users before releasing to everyone.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Set up a 'blue-green' deployment for my web app with version 2.0.”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
It works by running two versions of your application simultaneously: a 'blue' (the old one) and a 'green' (the new one). User traffic is directed to the blue version. When the green version is ready and tested, traffic is quickly switched to it, and the blue version remains as a backup for a fast rollback if something goes wrong.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

Blue-Green & Deployment Strategies
Implement zero-downtime deployment patterns for production systems.
Prerequisites
- Load balancer or ingress controller
- Container orchestration (K8s) or cloud platform
- CI/CD pipeline
- Health check endpoints

FAQ
What is 'zero-downtime'?
It means the service remains available to users during an update or maintenance.
Do I need two full versions of my application?
Yes, for the 'blue-green' strategy, you need the infrastructure to run both versions at the same time.
Does this tool do everything automatically?
No, it configures the strategies, but you need prerequisites like a load balancer and a container orchestration system (like Kubernetes) already set up.
