cc-skill-project-guidelines-example
This is an example skill for project guidelines. It helps define the rules and path for the agent to develop the project correctly.
What it does
This skill provides a guide for building a software project. It details the technologies used, how files are organized, code examples, and how to test the project.
When to use it
- ✓When starting a new software project.
- ✓When wanting to understand the structure of an existing project.
- ✓When needing code examples for different parts of the project.
Example of what to ask your AI
“How is this project structured?”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
The skill describes the technologies (like Next.js, FastAPI, Supabase) and how they connect. It shows the folder structure and gives code examples for the 'frontend' (what the user sees) and the 'backend' (the logic behind it).
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills --skill cc-skill-project-guidelines-exampleOr download just the file:

Project Guidelines Skill (Example)
This is an example of a project-specific skill. Use this as a template for your own projects.
Based on a real production application: Zenith - AI-powered customer discovery platform.
When to Use
Reference this skill when working on the specific project it's designed for. Project skills contain:
- Architecture overview
- File structure
- Code patterns
- Testing requirements
- Deployment workflow
Architecture Overview
Tech Stack:
- Frontend: Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, React
- Backend: FastAPI (Python), Pydantic models
- Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL)
- AI: Claude API with tool calling and structured output
- Deployment: Google Cloud Run
- Testing: Playwright (E2E), pytest (backend), React Testing Library

Code Patterns
API Response Format (FastAPI)
from pydantic import BaseModel
from typing import Generic, TypeVar, Optional
T = TypeVar('T')
class ApiResponse(BaseModel, Generic[T]):
success: bool
data: Optional[T] = None
error: Optional[str] = None
@classmethod
def ok(cls, data: T) -> "ApiResponse[T]":
return cls(success=True, data=data)
@classmethod
def fail(cls, error: str) -> "ApiResponse[T]":
return cls(success=False, error=error)
Frontend API Calls (TypeScript)
interface ApiResponse<T> {
success: boolean
data?: T
error?: string
}
async function fetchApi<T>(
endpoint: string,
options?: RequestInit
): Promise<ApiResponse<T>> {
try {
const response = await fetch(`/api${endpoint}`, {
...options,
headers: {
'Content-Type': 'application/json',
...options?.headers,
},
})
if (!response.ok) {
return { success: false, error: `HTTP ${response.status}` }
}
return await response.json()
} catch (error) {
return { success: false, error: String(error) }
}
}

FAQ
What technologies are used in this project?
This project uses Next.js for the frontend, FastAPI for the backend, Supabase as the database, and the Claude API for artificial intelligence.
How is the code organized?
The code is divided into 'frontend' and 'backend' folders. The frontend contains everything related to the user interface, and the backend contains server logic and database access.
What are 'Code Patterns'?
These are examples of how to write code for common tasks, like responding to API requests or integrating with AI, ensuring consistency and best practices.
