e2e-testing
Teaches your AI agent to test code and catch bugs before users do and ship projects and manage infrastructure.
What it does
This is a guide for automatically testing how a user interacts with a website or application. It helps ensure everything works as expected across different browsers and scenarios.
When to use it
- ✓When setting up automated tests for a website.
- ✓When you need to check if a website works on multiple browsers.
- ✓To compare how a website looks against a previous version (visual testing).
Example of what to ask your AI
“Set up automated tests to check the login and purchase flow on my website.”

How it works
It uses a tool called Playwright to simulate user actions like clicking buttons and filling forms. This allows tests to run without human intervention.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

E2E Testing Workflow
Overview
Specialized workflow for end-to-end testing using Playwright including browser automation, visual regression testing, cross-browser testing, and CI/CD integration.
When to Use This Workflow
Use this workflow when:
- Setting up E2E testing
- Automating browser tests
- Implementing visual regression
- Testing across browsers
- Integrating tests with CI/CD
Scope and proof
Choose phases needed for the current task, not every listed skill. Use dedicated test accounts, isolated fixtures and approved sandbox endpoints; clicks can send messages, make purchases or delete data. Review browser installation/downloads and CI permissions first. Traces, screenshots, videos and storage-state files can contain credentials or private data; keep them private and redact artifacts before sharing. A Playwright WebKit run is not proof on actual Safari/iOS, and mobile emulation is not a real-device test. Keep visual baselines fixed until differences are reviewed; do not overwrite them merely to get a pass.

Limitations
- Use this skill only when the task clearly matches the scope described above.
- Do not treat the output as a substitute for environment-specific validation, testing, or expert review.
- Stop and ask for clarification if required inputs, permissions, safety boundaries, or success criteria are missing.
FAQ
What is 'visual regression'?
It's a technique to ensure your website's visual appearance doesn't change unexpectedly. It compares screenshots of how the site should look with current ones.
What is 'CI/CD integration'?
It means integrating these tests into a continuous integration and continuous delivery system. This way, tests run automatically whenever there's a code change.
Can I trust the tests 100%?
These tests are a great help, but they don't replace human review. They might contain sensitive information, so be careful when sharing results.
