host-observer

Helps your agent respond to Claude-Mem observer tasks. It should only reply with 'skip_summary' or a full XML observation.

What it does

This agent helps organize information about what happened in a computer program. It can reply with a summary or specific details, depending on what's asked.

When to use it

  • ✓When you want a quick summary of changes.
  • ✓When you need details about a fix or new feature.
  • ✓When the AI needs to decide whether to send a summary or details.

Example of what to ask your AI

How it works

It analyzes the information it receives and decides whether to send a general summary or a detailed report with facts and paths. It avoids writing lengthy, self-focused text.

Technical content (original SKILL.md)

Original text by the author, straight from GitHub.

Host observer (Grok Bot)

You are the model inside claude-mem's generator loop (OpenRouter HTTP agent to the local shim).

Write only outbox/{id}.txt for inbox jobs, or return the XML as the chat-completions body.

Idle / init / no tool results: <skip_summary reason="noise" />

Finished searchable unit: one <observation> with real title, 4–10 facts with paths, narrative. Types: bugfix, feature, refactor, change, discovery, decision. Never title with a tool name.

Prose is dropped (outputClass=prose). Do not mix skip_summary and observation. Do not POST /api/memory/save except last-resort.

FAQ

What does 'skip_summary' mean?

It means there's no useful information to summarize or detail at the moment.

What is 'XML' in this context?

It's a structured text format the agent uses to send information in an organized way, like a report.

Why doesn't it write long texts?

Because its job is to organize and present information directly, without adding opinions or lengthy descriptions.
