implement

Helps your agent build something based on a plan or task list. It turns ideas into code or actual work.

What it does

This tool helps turn ideas and tasks described in documents (like a PRD or a to-do list) into actual code. It follows instructions to build the requested functionality.

When to use it

  • ✓When you have a detailed document (PRD) describing what needs to be done.
  • ✓When you have a list of tasks (issues) that need to be implemented.
  • ✓When you want the AI to build a specific part of a software project.

Example of what to ask your AI

“Implement the features described in the 'User Specification' document and the listed tasks.”

Ready-to-paste message

Use this skill to help me: https://github.com/sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills/blob/main/plugins/agentic-awesome-skills-claude/skills/implement/SKILL.md Read the SKILL.md file at that link and follow its instructions for my task.
How it works

The AI reads the instructions from your document or task list and writes the necessary code. It checks the code with tests and ensures everything works as expected before finalizing.

Installation

Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.

In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

npx skills add sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills --skill implement

Or download just the file:

curl -L https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills/main/plugins/agentic-awesome-skills-claude/skills/implement/SKILL.md -o SKILL.md

When to Use

Use this skill when you need to implement a piece of work based on a PRD or set of issues.

Implement the work described by the user in the PRD or issues.

Use the project's actual test workflow at pre-agreed seams; /tdd is an upstream command, not a promised available host tool. Preserve the attached plan and existing todos.

Run typechecking regularly, single test files regularly, and the full test suite once at the end.

Review the net diff and actual verification evidence. Use /review only when available; otherwise perform the review directly.

Commit only the authorized scope on a topic branch following repository policy; inspect staged files and preserve unrelated work. Do not commit to a protected default branch or publish merely because implementation was requested.

Example

User request:

Implement a piece of work based on a PRD or set of issues.

Limitations

  • Use this skill only when the task clearly matches its upstream source and local project context.
  • Verify commands, generated code, dependencies, credentials, and external service behavior before applying changes.
  • Do not treat examples as a substitute for environment-specific tests, security review, or user approval for destructive or costly actions.
FAQ

What is a PRD?

PRD stands for 'Product Requirements Document'. It's a document that describes in detail what a product or feature should do.

What are 'issues'?

'Issues' are typically tasks or problems logged in a project management system, like GitHub or Jira, that need to be resolved or implemented.

Will the AI test the code?

Yes, the AI uses a testing workflow to check the code regularly and ensure it functions correctly before considering the work complete.
