mcd-secret-menu-lab
Lets your agent plan McDonald's China recipe combinations. It uses menu and price information to create new combinations.
What it does
This agent helps you create McDonald's food combinations in China, using the actual menu and prices. It can help you recreate famous internet recipes or invent something new within your budget.
When to use it
- ✓When you want to try a 'secret recipe' you saw online.
- ✓When you want to create a different snack with a maximum price.
- ✓When you want to know the exact price or calories of a combination before ordering.
Example of what to ask your AI
“I want to invent something cold and sweet for under ¥10.”

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
It checks the store's current menu to find items. Then, it combines the ingredients you want, checks the price and calories, and gives you a suggestion on how to assemble and order it.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.

麦门隐藏菜单实验室 (McDonald's Secret Menu Lab)
Overview
A community-authored recipe-planning workflow for McDonald's China. With an already authorized MCP connection, it can compare actual store menus, prices and available nutrition. Without that connection, provide an explicitly unverified plan and report the missing prerequisite; do not invent live verification.
The upstream project includes recipe, quiz and community features. This catalog skill is self-contained and does not bundle that application's 14-recipe database, quiz, collection system or leaderboard. Installing instructions does not connect the MCP server or authorize account actions.
When to Use This Skill
- Use when the user asks how to recreate a viral McDonald's hack (e.g. "fries dipped in McFlurry")
- Use when the user wants to invent a new combination from taste/budget ("something sweet under ¥15")
- Use when the user needs the real price or calories of a combination before ordering
- Use when the user asks whether a store currently sells a specific item (menus rotate by season)
- Use when the user wants coupon-aware price estimates using already available, authorized coupons
- Use when the user wants a draft recipe card for their own combination
How It Works
Step 1: Resolve the store and menu
Inspect the connected server's actual tool list and schemas. Use a user-supplied city/store or authorized location input with query-nearby-stores, then query-meals, to obtain real store and product identifiers. Do not infer precise location or access unrelated account information. Never assume an item exists; menus rotate seasonally (e.g. the seasonal pie may hide a classic flavor inside its options).
Step 2: Build or match the recipe
For restorations, match the hack's components to real productCodes. For inventions, apply the flavor matrix (sweet/savoury/frozen/crunchy × temperature contrast) and constrain by budget.
Step 3: Verify with real data
Use query-meal-detail for actual option identifiers when needed, then calculate-price with the advertised schema and list-nutrition-foods. Confirm currency units before totaling prices and distinguish kJ from kcal. Match exact products and portions; mark missing nutrition or substitutions unknown instead of borrowing another product's values. Report price and nutrition sources, store and observation time. Taste/creativity and budget fit are subjective judgments, not verified health outcomes.
Step 4: Deliver
Produce a recipe card: item list with prices → assembly steps → flavor description → one-line counter script ("tell the staff: ...") → nutrition caveats. Produce a draft only; do not order, bind coupons, submit publicly or message others merely to deliver the card.
Examples
The amounts and calorie figures below are illustrative examples, not current quotes or proof of a live check. Replace them only with observed store results and clearly identify unmatched nutrition.
Example 1: Restore a classic hack
User: "I want to try fries dipped in a McFlurry." → Resolve store → 中薯条 (¥14.50) + 经典麦旋风 (¥15.50) → total ¥30.00, ~555 kcal, tier "indulgent" → card + counter script: "order medium fries and a regular McFlurry, dip while hot."
Example 2: Invent within a budget
User: "Something new at most ¥10, I like cold-sweet." → 黑洋酥小圆子风味派 (¥5) + 圆筒冰淇淋 (¥5) = ¥10.00, ~325 kcal → assembly: crack the pie open, press the cone on top — fire-and-ice contrast.
Best Practices
- ✅ Always re-verify price and availability at query time — never serve cached prices
- ✅ Include source-backed nutrition and explain uncertainty; never infer allergy safety or medical suitability from a score
- ✅ For verified results, state the store and observation time; otherwise label the plan unverified
- ❌ Don't fabricate items that aren't in the live menu
- ❌ Don't present invented combos as official McDonald's products
Security & Safety Notes
- Use only an existing authorized connection. Obtain credentials through the provider's secure flow; never ask for tokens in chat or include them in recipe cards.
- Read menus and quote prices by default. Binding/claiming coupons, ordering, cancelling, purchases and public submissions require separate explicit authorization for the exact action and target; a recipe or budget request does not grant it.
- Do not install dependencies, configure MCP hosts or activate upstream scripts to answer a recipe request.

FAQ
What is the 'MCP connection'?
It's a special connection the agent uses to see the latest information from McDonald's in China, like menus and prices. Without it, it warns that the information might not be exact.
Can it order food for me?
No, it only gives you the recipe and what to tell the staff. It doesn't place orders or use coupons.
Does it work for McDonald's in other countries?
No, this agent is specific to McDonald's in China.
