speed
Helps your agent read texts quickly. Allows processing written information much faster.
What it does
This feature displays text one word at a time, highlighting the most important part of each word to help you read faster. It's like a speed-reading video.
When to use it
- ✓When you want to read a long text quickly.
- ✓To practice speed reading with a specific text.
- ✓If you have a text and want a different way to view it for reading.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Turn this text into a speed reader: [paste text here]”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

Ready-to-paste message
How it works
It takes the text you provide or that the AI just wrote. Then, it prepares this text to be shown word by word, using a special technique to highlight important parts, and opens it in a fast-reading view.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:
npx skills add sickn33/agentic-awesome-skills --skill speedOr download just the file:

Speed Reader
Launch the RSVP speed reader to display text one word at a time with Spritz-style ORP (Optimal Recognition Point) highlighting.
When to Use
- You want to launch the RSVP speed reader for text in the current session.
- The task is to turn either provided text or the assistant's prior response into a word-by-word reading view.
- You need a quick reading aid rather than a document transformation or summary.
Instructions
Get the text:
- If
$ARGUMENTSis provided, use that text - Otherwise, extract the main content from your previous response in this conversation
- If
Prepare the content:
- Preserve meaningful prose; do not discard user-requested code or numbers silently.
- Use a reviewed, actually installed reader template. The historical
~/.claude/skills/speed/data/reader.htmlpath is not bundled by this AAS skill. - Keep original assets immutable: write a separate private preview copy.
Serialize safely:
- Serialize text as JSON rather than ad-hoc quote replacement. When embedding
JSON inside a script element, escape
<as\u003c(and any required Unicode separators) so supplied</script>text cannot become executable HTML. - Do not put source text into shell arguments or execute its contents.
- If the template is absent, report the missing runtime; do not pretend a reader opened.
- Serialize text as JSON rather than ad-hoc quote replacement. When embedding
JSON inside a script element, escape
Launch and verify:
- Open the preview using the current host's supported local-file action, not a macOS-only command on every platform. Inspect actual displayed text and controls.
- Confirm opening only after successful host evidence; adjust speed to the user.
Arguments
$ARGUMENTS
Example
User request:
Launch the RSVP speed reader for text in the current session.
Limitations
- Use this skill only when the task clearly matches the scope described above.
- Do not treat the output as a substitute for environment-specific validation, testing, or expert review.
- Stop and ask for clarification if required inputs, permissions, safety boundaries, or success criteria are missing.
FAQ
What is RSVP?
RSVP stands for 'Rapid Serial Visual Presentation'. It's the technique of showing one word at a time in a fixed location to speed up reading.
Can I use this for any type of text?
Yes, it tries to preserve the original text, including code and numbers, so you can read various types of content.
What happens if the speed reader doesn't open?
If the necessary program for speed reading is not available, the AI will let you know it couldn't open the reader.
