subagent-driven-development
Helps your agent execute implementation plans with independent tasks. It coordinates actions to ensure everything is done in the right order. Good for complex projects.
What it does
This tool helps execute a software development plan. It breaks down the work into smaller tasks and uses 'subagents' (other AIs) to do each part, checking the quality afterward.
When to use it
- ✓When you have a detailed plan for building something.
- ✓When the parts of the plan can be done independently.
- ✓When you want the AI to work through multiple steps on its own without interruption.
Example of what to ask your AI
“Use this tool to execute the development plan we created.”

How to use
The easiest way: copy the message below and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any AI. It reads the skill and follows the instructions.

How it works
The AI takes your plan, breaks it into tasks, and sends each one to a specialized agent. Each task is reviewed twice: first to ensure it followed instructions, and then to check the code quality.
Installation
Easiest way: copy the skill link and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor asking it to follow the instructions.
In the terminal (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor), in your project folder:

Subagent-Driven Development
Execute plan by dispatching fresh subagent per task, with two-stage review after each: spec compliance review first, then code quality review.
Core principle: Fresh subagent per task + two-stage review (spec then quality) = high quality, fast iteration
When to Use
digraph when_to_use {
"Have implementation plan?" [shape=diamond];
"Tasks mostly independent?" [shape=diamond];
"Stay in this session?" [shape=diamond];
"subagent-driven-development" [shape=box];
"executing-plans" [shape=box];
"Manual execution or brainstorm first" [shape=box];

"Stay in this session?" -> "subagent-driven-development" [label="yes"];
"Stay in this session?" -> "executing-plans" [label="no - parallel session"];
}
vs. Executing Plans (parallel session):
- Same session (no context switch)
- Fresh subagent per task (no context pollution)
- Two-stage review after each task: spec compliance first, then code quality
- Faster iteration (no human-in-loop between tasks)

FAQ
What's the difference between 'Subagent-Driven Development' and 'Executing Plans'?
Both execute plans. 'Subagent-Driven Development' does everything in the same conversation, using fresh agents for each task and reviewing at the end. 'Executing Plans' might split work into separate conversations.
Why use a new 'subagent' for each task?
This prevents old information from other tasks from interfering with the current work, ensuring each task is done with a clear focus on its specific instructions.
What are the reviews?
After an agent finishes a task, another agent checks if the work matches the plan (spec review) and then if the code is well-written and error-free (quality review).
